Reflections: Bilingual Poems for Pensive People ReviewI received this book for free in exchange for a review. I do not read German but I expect that someone who is bilingual would get the most out of the poems. Reading the English poems was enjoyable, they covered a wide variety of topics, mostly dealing with the human condition, end of life questions, theological and philosophical topics. The topics are pensive and reflective as the title states, but they were not negative or "downers." Many had a hopeful twist and encouraged the reader to remain positive even in the midst of trials. A few of the poem titles included: "Speculations on a Hospital Lawn," "Good Reason for Continuing to Exist," "Sabbatical," and "Universe."
