German language books for the Kindle have been a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time coming, and Kerstin Gier is one of the first popular German authors to publish in the U.S. on the Kindle.These are not so much fare for the guys as romance novels geared to YA's, but as a student of German, I find these a nice change of pace from the other main genre readily available for the Kindle (Krimis). The built in German/English dictionary makes it easier to look up a word than constantly running for a the Langenscheid's G/E. The stories are humor filled, and the dialog is contemporary. If you're looking for some light entertainment while improving your German language reading, then Gier's novels are a fun place to start.
