The literal translations are also very good, i.e., they are not literary translations, which means that for those who know german like myself the german text can be followed very easily ! In this book I "discovered" a few authors that I'd heard of but not read ( z.b., Gerd Gaiser with the story "Antigone und der Gartenzwerg" ). I strongly recommend this book for all people who seriously want to study german in an intermediate level.
