Der Fahrdienstleiter des Todes: Franz Novak, der Transportexperte Eichmanns (German Edition) ReviewThe "Stationmaster of Death" is the second biography of an Austrian Holocaust criminal. Franz Novak, a printer from Wolfsberg in Carinthia, belonged to the early acquaintances of Odilo Globocnik, the man who in his capacity as SS and Police Chief of Lublin would build the extermination camps of Belzec, Sobibor and Treblinka. Novak, an ardent Nazi, became part of the Eichmann team in 1938 and was responsible for the organisation of deportations of Jews all over Europe during WWII. Austrian courts put Novak on trial four times, eventually sentencing him to 4 1/2 years of prison.The other books in the series:
