Of course, we already had the English version. With the German version, the pictures are the same, and the text is largely the same, so it was easy for them to understand what was happening. My kids are 6, 3 and 1, and they all seem to enjoy the story. It is not too hard for them to understand the concepts, so I don't have to translate into English - I can explain in German and they eventually get the gist.
